Joint replacement is a surgical procedure in which the worn, damaged surfaces of the joint are removed & replaced with new artificial parts. Your doctor may consider joint replacement if you have severe pain which limits daily activities & is not relieved with medications, injections, physical therapy, or other treatments. The goal of the surgery is to relieve pain and restore the alignment and function of your joint.
I had a displaced trimalleolar fracture of the left ankle. Dr. Ritterman put me at ease. His patient care is excellent. He gave me his cell phone number in case I needed anything and he made several calls to check on my well-being. My surgery went great (I had plates put on my tibia and fibula) and I am on the road to recovery.
Fantastic! I’ve never been to a doctor who cared more about his pts.
Dr. Ritterman not only took care of my father relative to his hip replacement, he also served as an advocate with his insurer so he could receive the best rehabilitation services possible. He genuinely cares about his patients, and I've been so impressed with Dr. Ritterman that I've become a patient as well.
